Here are a few pictures of my first trip to Big Bend. I didn't get to see everything and would have spent more time there, but I also wanted to explore the back roads of the Hill Country. The weather was great! I was a great trip: 3,002 miles and the route was something like this:
Wednesday (Nov 16th): Seabrook to Uvalde. Thursday (17th): Del Rio, Langtry, Marathon, & Alpine. Met with 4 riders from North Houston BMW in Alpine (they trailered). Stayed in Alpine 2 nights. Friday (18th) rode from Alpine to Study Butte, Terlingua, Presidio, Marfa & back to Alpine. Did the reverse on Saturday (19th): Alpine to Marfa, Presidio, Park (Basin, Santa Elena), Alpine, Ft. Davis, MacDonald Observatory, and back to Alpine (498 miles). Sunday (20th): Alpine to Marathon, Del Rio, Rocksprings, Leakey (all the 3's clockwise), Fredericksburg. Monday (21st): Fredericksburg to Luckenbach, Sisterdale, Johnson City, Wimberly, Austin, Georgetown, Marble Falls, Inks Lake, Llano. Tuesday (22nd): Llano to Hilda, Doss, Harper, Kerrville, Vanderpool, Leakey (3's counter-clockwise), Bandera. Wednesday (23rd): Bandera to Comfort, Boerne, Sisterdale, Canyon Lake, San Marcos, Nixon, Gonzales, Moulton, Eagle Lake, Wharton, Houston, & Seabrook.
